Batteries intended for electric vehicles will be produced at the company's new plant in Thoothukudi, according to Reuters, which cited people with direct knowledge of the situation.According to one of the persons who spoke with Reuters, "Several VinFast officials have visited Thoothukudi district in Tamil Nadu to check out sites."

There were rumors in September that VinFast had started employing people in India for back-office, sales, and legal positions. But it's unclear how much VinFast would invest and when it will start operating in Tamil Nadu.The corporation is looking into ways to enter the Indian market with electric automobiles and scooters.In 2023, internet outages cost India $585.4 million in lost revenue, according to a report published by UK-based review website Top10VPN. According to the survey, 59.1 million Indians were affected by 7,812 hours of internet blackouts and 144 hours of social media shutdowns that the nation experienced throughout the year.
